We are doing excellent! Finland moved up one place in World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness report reaching the 3rd position in the list of the top 10 competitive economies in the world.

According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013, Finnish economy has had small improvements in a number of areas. Finland occupies the top position both in the health and primary education as well as in the higher education and training thanks to strong focus on education over recent decades. This has provided the workforce with the skills needed to adapt rapidly to a changing environment and has laid the groundwork for high levels of technological adoption and innovation.

We are one of the most innovative countries in Europe, ranking 2nd, behind only Switzerland. Improving our capacity to adopt the latest technologies (ranked 25th) could lead to important synergies that in turn could corroborate Finland’s position as one of the world’s most innovative economies. A Stafix® campaign gets nominated at the “Grand Prix Romand de Création”

The “Grand Prix Romand of Creation” (CRPG) is an annual competition rewarding creative advertising in the french speaking area of Switzerland. This contest is open to any advertising agencies, graphic design agencies, web agencies, advertisers, designers and photographers in Switzerland as long as their creations were designed and distributed in Switzerland. “GRAND” awards are distributed in several categories (publicity films, posters, radio advertisements, guerrilla, etc.).

In the 2011 contest, the Geneva-based agency “Enigma” presented several projects, including a street marketing campaign on Stafix® that occurred in September 2010.

The campaign, set up by the political party PLR-VD, consisted of sticking fake scratches (printed on Stafix® Clear) on cars parked in the major cities of the french speaking regions of Switzerland in order to raise awareness about incivilities and insecurity.

The campaign gained the attention of the jury who nominated it among the top 3 finalists in the Guerrilla category.

You can find more information about the original campaign here.
