A little information about the Open Studies programme

Open Studies (Avoimen ammattikorkeakoulun opintoja) are open to anyone no matter your educational background or age.  There are lower and higher degree courses offered and some in English as well (IB courses and Facility Management). (See http://bitly.com/md1WIP and http://bit.ly/jIEaab for course listings). Open studies suit you if:

  • you need to update or supplement your skills for work
  • you plan on applying for a study place at any University of Applied Sciences
  • you are keen on a specific subject and want to learn more

In open studies you can study courses offered at JAMK but your studies in open AMK will not earn you a degree.  Studies completed in the open study programme may be counted towards a degree if you are accepted to a full-time degree programme later on.

Studies take place during the daytime, evenings and weekends.  You can learn in class, individually or virtually. Take your pick!  If you’d like more information about course offerings feel free to write to lipa.avoinamk(a)jamk.fi
