The following are things should be excluded from your resume, unless relevant to the job for which you are applying: itemized list of classes you attended while pursuing a degree, grades from specific courses, GPA (unless required or of high rank), your sex or gender, family, religion, politics, previous employment unrelated to the job or industry in which you are applying (such as a phlebotomist position held by a practicing attorney while in college over a decade earlier), memberships unrelated to the job or industry in which you are applying (e.g. health clubs or book clubs), internships held prior to the last five years of professional work experience, and hobbies.  Also, double-check spelling, grammar, and tense. Ask someone to review your resume before submitting it.
